The Sonography Lounge Hosts Lori and Trisha sit down with Dr. John Broussard to talk about the use of ultrasound in conjunction with the EmSculpt Neo and EmSella technology to track fat loss, muscle gain, and the treatment of incontinence.
Dr. John Broussard is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine and specializes in both regenerative and osteopathic manipulative medicine. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at an osteopathic hospital, practicing in the urgent care setting. He then followed to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Institute for Non-Surgical Orthopedics in Florida. In 2014, he integrated ultrasound into his practice for diagnostics and guided interventional procedures.
Dr. Broussard is the co-founder of Alliance Regen and Rehab in downtown St Petersburg, FL. In 2020 he and his brother opened their sports medicine practice to provide effective solutions to athletes and active adults to quickly overcome injuries and get back to the activities they love.”
Dr. Broussard has provided skills-based labs, supervised residents and medical students in osteopathic and sports medicine clinical settings, and presented at state conferences. He believes in using integrative medicine to help patients receive comprehensive care in one setting.

Sonography Lounge Hosts, Lori Green, BA, RDMS, RDCS RVT, and Trisha Reo, RDMS, RVT interview Dr. Timothy Mazzola to discuss Tendinitis versus Tendinosis; Regenerative Medicine, and how diagnostic/interventional ultrasound can play a clinical role.
Dr. Mazzola is triple board certified in Family Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
He practices as a non-operative Regenerative Orthopedic and Sports Medicine specialist at Breakthrough Regenerative Orthopedics in Boulder, Colorado.
He formerly served in the US Air Force as a Team Physician at the US Air Force Academy.
A passionate educator, Dr. Mazzola is a Senior Clinical Instructor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and has taught Advanced MSK US for many years for various courses. Most recently, he co-authored the chapter “Techniques for Performing Regenerative Procedures for Orthopedic Conditions” in the groundbreaking textbook “Regenerative Treatments in Sports and Orthopedic Medicine.”
He has performed diagnostic and interventional MSK US since 2007, Regenerative medicine since 2009 and precision diagnostic and regenerative injections are the cornerstone of his current practice.

Emily has been a clinical marketing specialist at CIVCO for almost 5 years. Emily was board certified as a diagnostic medical sonographer 28 years ago in ABD, OB, RVT and PS and has spent most of her career in clinical areas and education. Emily has 2 daughters and enjoys anything outdoors.
Justin has been with CIVCO for over 5 years and runs the Infection Control product line, which is focused on providing a full suite of viral barrier solutions for the many types and applications of ultrasound. Justin is married with 2 children and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, tinkering in the workshop and reading.

Transcranial Doppler is a facet of vascular ultrasound that is gaining notoriety quickly. With advancements in ultrasound technology and proper training, TCD can now allow us to evaluate the blood flow in the brain without the use of harmful radiation or dye in ways that would previously not have been possible. Today we would like to give you a brief overview of TCD and several of its many applications that are helping to save lives through stroke prevention and treatment.

The Sonography Lounge Hosts Lori and Trisha sit down with Dr. Blake Randles and talk about how he got into ultrasound and how he has utilized his skillset throughout his career starting as a sonographer, then a chiropractor, and into NP. Dr. Randles was designated a "Pioneer" of the RMSK certification and utilizes ultrasound for both diagnostic and interventional practices.
Dr. Blake received his Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science with an emphasis in diagnostic ultrasound from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He also completed the pre-medical accelerated science program at Scott Community College and went on to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa.
He is a board-certified, Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Medical Sonologist with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonologists with ultrasound experience from multiple medical settings. Throughout his career, Dr. Blake has delivered abdominal, surgical, OB, gynecological, neonatal brain, vascular, and musculoskeletal ultrasounds.

Dr. Cameron is also Lieutenant Colonel Cameron serving as a reservist in the Air National Guard as Senior Flight Surgeon/Medical Director at a special operations unit. In addition, he previously served 8 years of active duty in the U.S. Navy. He has been attached to units on both coasts and has spent time on missions and deployments in multiple overseas locations, including Europe, Central America, the Middle East, Indo-pacific, as well as aboard the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier.
Dr. Cameron’s current primary practice is focused on sports and regenerative medicine and he is an expert instructor in the use of both diagnostic and interventional ultrasound for orthopedic (musculoskeletal) applications.

The Sonography Lounge sits down for a happy hour discussion with Daniel Bourque MS, BS, RCS, FASE to discuss the reality of "Sonographer Burnout", the ongoing shortage of sonographers in the industry, and go over some potential solutions. This episode covers a myriad of great topics for both the seasoned healthcare professional and those considering getting into the field of diagnostic ultrasound.
Dan is a lead sonographer and educator for Orlando Regional Medical center in Orlando Florida
He obtained his BS in education and his Masters degree in exercise physiology prior to deciding to pursue a career in echocardiography.
In the past, he has served as an adjunct professor at Southern CT State University as well as a Clinical exercise physiologist for a Rehabilitation Practice for several years.
Dan has been an invited speaker at many professional society meetings and lectures nationally on various topics related to echocardiography. He also has fellow status with ASE.

The Sonography Lounge hosts Dacia Jordanov, Registered Nurse & Clinical Account Manager for EchoNous, the Ultrasound equipment company that has designed the Kosmos Ultrasound system.
Dacia has been a nurse for 15 years and had integrated the use of diagnostic ultrasound into practice. She is now providing equipment education and support training for Echonous. Dacia goes into the decision to make the career pivot into a non-clinical role and the day-to-day changes that have occurred in doing so.

Dr. Mazzola is triple board certified in Family Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
He practices as a non-operative Regenerative Orthopedic and Sports Medicine specialist at Breakthrough Regenerative Orthopedics in Boulder, Colorado.
He formerly served in the US Air Force as a Team Physician at the US Air Force Academy.
A passionate educator, Dr. Mazzola is a Senior Clinical Instructor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and has taught Advanced MSK US for many years for various courses. Most recently, he co-authored the chapter “Techniques for Performing Regenerative Procedures for Orthopedic Conditions” in the groundbreaking textbook “Regenerative Treatments in Sports and Orthopedic Medicine.”
He has performed diagnostic and interventional MSK US since 2007, Regenerative medicine since 2009 and precision diagnostic and regenerative injections are the cornerstone of his current practice.

Get to know the men, the myths, the legends in MSK ultrasound!.
Dr. Jon Jacobson is a Professor of Radiology and Section Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging, University of Cincinnati
He has published over 250 manuscript publications and has authored numerous book chapters as well as completing his 3rd edition of the textbook “Fundamentals of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.” He has lectured extensively throughout the United States and internationally and has worked with Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute for many years.
Dr. Jeff Strakowski graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Ohio State University School of Medicine.
He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with sub-specialties in Sports Medicine, Neuromuscular Medicine, Pain Management, and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. His other certifications include Electrodiagnostic Medicine by the ABEM (American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine) and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound by the ARDMS.
He is currently the Clinical Professor at The Ohio State University School of Medicine, Department of PM&R and the Associate Director of Medical Education at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Department of PM&R.
Dr. Strakowski has also authored numerous textbooks, abstracts, and papers in the field of MSK and Neuromuscular Ultrasound as well as Electrodiagnosis. He is also the author of Ultrasound Evaluation of Peripheral Nerve Focal Neuropathies.
